The adult Sunday School class starts this Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9:15. Below is a flyer describing “Carrying One Another’s Burdens: Helpful Presence.”
This three-Sunday class will address the kinds of things that lay folk (you) can do to care for one another. The ideas can be beneficial for anyone who wants to know how to be helpful for others. Folks within any church will find it useful but those in a church served by a part-time pastor like Condon UCC will find it especially so.
We will focus on the needs of children, especially the needs to be safe from violence, as we conclude our five-weeks of prayer for children with worship at 10:30 on Sunday. The worship coincides with the interfaith services of Jews, Muslims, B’hai, Christians, and others this weekend, the National Observance of Children’s Sabbaths.
The children themselves will be offering a liturgical dance in praise this week.
If you miss a week, or live faraway, you can still listen to weekly sermons from the Condon UCC. Find “Sermons” from the drop down menu above or go directly to: https://condonucc.wordpress.com/worship/sermons/
There you will find audio versions of recent sermons. Of course, you’re always welcome to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30.
Condon UCC will celebrate World Communion Sunday this week. On October 6th, along with other Christians from around the world, we will share in commemorating the meal Jesus ate with his disciples before his arrest. We recognize that though different churches may disagree on exactly what happens at the Table, we are all followers of Jesus. We are all created in the image of God and are beloved. We are one human family.
If you are looking for a place to worship this Sunday, join us at 10:30.
