Tomorrow is Something Different Sunday.
Something Different Sunday is a day to try new things. Sometimes that means a change in order of worship. Sometimes it means an talk-back sermon. Sometimes if means no sermon. On a future Something Different Sunday, it may mean meeting over dinner rather than in the morning. Sometimes they flop; sometimes they’re great. Always they’re an opportunity for us to co-create with God a meaningful time together.
Join us tomorrow at 10:30. Oh, there will be no sermon and we’ll meet in the Overflow Room. (That’s all we’re telling you for now.)
Seeing Morris on a Sunday morning is not unusual. He rides in a wheelchair from his home next door to the church but this Sunday was special. Morris Wilson celebrated his 101st birthday by bringing his extended family to church with him.
A message from our Central Pacific UCC Conference Minister regarding Judge Shane’s ruling that Oregon’s marriage ban is unconstitutional. #justice #MarriageEquality
Adult Bible Study resumes this Sunday following the pastor’s surgery and recovery. We meet in the church at 9:15 a.m. We will begin a study of the Letter of James to coincide with the worship and sermon emphases during Eastertide.
On this fifth Sunday of Easter, the focus is on James 2:1-13 (read it here). The sermon is titled The Sin of Exclusion. If you’ve been away for awhile, if you’ve been thinking of coming, or if you are simply curious about the UCC in Condon please join us for Bible Study at 9:15 and/or Worship at 10:30 this week.
