Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 14, 15, & 16. The focus scripture will be 1 Samuel 3:2-11. In the passage, God calls to Samuel in the night. The boy Samuel gets up and goes to his caregiver Eli saying “Here I am.” After the boy wakens him multiple times, Eli tells Samuel to respond to the voice of God with “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”
Please let Tim know if you think VBS is a way in which you are able to dream beyond yourself. We will need help with food and teaching. Contact Tim at 541-256-0565, email@example.com, or via text. Once we have a core group we will schedule a planning session.
Jason Guy preaches at the 10:30 service on Mothers’ Day, May 10th. His text is Romans 5:1-11 and he will talk about “When God Becomes UnGodly.” Jason is a chaplain at Heart of Hospice in The Dalles and an on-call chaplain at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. He is new to Oregon, having recently moved here from California with his wife Kelly Ryan, pastor of Bethel UCC in White Salmon.
Pastor Tim Graves is on vacation through May 11. He will return to Condon on May 13 following a Ministerial Boundaries Training on the twelfth.
As we near Mothers’ Day — our self-imposed deadline to gather enough money for twenty-five blankets — we need your help to share the love implicit in a practical gift for those facing natural disaster, human-created refugee status, or other life altering crises.
All it takes is $10 to fund a blanket for someone in need. All it takes to wrap them in love is a Church World Service blanket. Will you help? Will you give hope?
